LUMO Setup Guide

Install & activate LUMO X (IPTV) and LUMO+ (VOD) on supported devices.

Before You Start

Requirements

  • Active LUMO order email with your login details.
  • Internet speed: 25+ Mbps per 4K stream (10+ Mbps for HD).
  • Supported devices for LUMO+: Fire TV Stick/Max, ONN 4K/Pro, NVIDIA Shield. Phones/tablets not supported for LUMO+.

Enable Unknown Apps (if sideloading)

  1. Fire TV: Settings → My Fire TVDeveloper OptionsInstall unknown apps → Allow Downloader.
  2. Android TV (ONN/Shield): Settings → AppsSpecial app accessInstall unknown apps → Allow your installer app.

Install LUMO+ (VOD)

Fire TV / Firestick

  1. From the Fire TV home screen, install Downloader (search "Downloader by AFTVnews").
  2. Open Downloader and enter the download link provided in your LUMO order email for the LUMO+ app.
  3. When prompted, choose InstallOpen.
  4. Sign in with your LUMO+ username & password from the email.

ONN Google TV / NVIDIA Shield

  1. Open Google Play Store → install Downloader (or use a web browser).
  2. Allow unknown apps (see Before You Start).
  3. Enter the LUMO+ download link from your email → Install → Open.
  4. Sign in with your LUMO+ credentials.
Note: LUMO+ is designed as a backup VOD service and does not include troubleshooting support. If your device is unsupported, please use a supported streaming device listed above.

Install LUMO X (IPTV)

Fire TV / Firestick

  1. From the Fire TV home screen, install Downloader (search "Downloader by AFTVnews").
  2. Open Downloader and enter the download link provided in your LUMO order email for the LUMO X app.
  3. When prompted, choose InstallOpen.
  4. Sign in with your LUMO X username & password from the email.

ONN Google TV / NVIDIA Shield

  1. Open Google Play Store → install Downloader (or use a web browser).
  2. Allow unknown apps (see Before You Start).
  3. Enter the LUMO X download link from your email → Install → Open.
  4. Sign in with your LUMO X credentials.

Optional — Third‑Party Player Apps

Option A — IPTV Smarters / Smarters Pro

  1. Install the app from your device store. If unavailable, download from the developer’s site using Downloader.
  2. Open → select Login with Xtreme Codes API (or similar).
  3. Enter the Server/Portal URL, Username, and Password from your LUMO X email.
  4. Save → the app will load Live TV, Movies, and Series.

Option B — XCIPTV Player

  1. Install from Google Play/Amazon store.
  2. Choose Xtream Codes / XC login type.
  3. Enter Server URL, Username, Password → Save.

Option C — TiviMate (Android TV only)

  1. Install TiviMate from Google Play on Android TV devices (ONN, Shield, etc.).
  2. Open → Add playlist → choose Xtream Codes (or use your M3U URL).
  3. Enter the Server URL, Username, Password; add EPG URL if provided.
Tip: If one player doesn’t behave well on your device, try another from the list above. Make sure your device date/time is set to Automatic.

Enter Your Account Details

Xtream Codes (most common)

  • Server / Portal URL — in your LUMO X email
  • Username — case‑sensitive
  • Password — case‑sensitive

M3U & EPG (optional)

  • M3U URL — for players that require playlist links
  • EPG URL — TV guide data (if your player supports it)

Troubleshooting

Login / Content

  • Invalid login: retype creds; avoid spaces; check case.
  • Empty categories: refresh/reload playlist; reboot app.
  • Time/Guide off: set device time to Automatic and correct timezone.

Performance

  • Use 5GHz Wi‑Fi or Ethernet; move closer to router.
  • Reboot modem/router and streaming device.
  • Close other downloads/streams; lower stream quality if available.
  • Try a different player app; switch decoder (HW/HW+) in player settings.

If issues persist, verify your subscription is active and your account isn’t logged in on too many devices for your plan.

VPN tip: Some networks/ISPs may throttle or block streams. A VPN can help. We offer a VPN add‑on for $10/year with a 1‑month trial. Contact us to add it to your account.

FAQ

Can I use LUMO+ on a phone or tablet?

No. LUMO+ supports Fire TV, ONN Google TV, and NVIDIA Shield streaming devices.

How many devices can I use?

Plans include a set number of connections. Using more devices than your plan allows can cause logins to fail. Add extra connections in your account.

How do I renew or add connections?

To renew, go to our Order Now page. To add connections, it’s best to email support@lumotv.stream.
